Archery in schools
By the end of the workshop participants will have a practical framework to organize archery events in schools from one-off experiences and beginners courses to after-school clubs.
Topics covered will include;
· Essential administration
· Staffing
· Programme content and delivery style
· Choice of equipment
· Funding
· Follow up and review.
A case study, Deer Park Archers run school programmes every day of the week and are booked until the end of 2012. They will share their experience, highlight potential pitfalls and hopefully answer all your questions! Archery GB are using the Deer Park Archers approach as best practice.
Target Population: Club organizers, coaches.
Duration : 2 hours. Cost: £5 per club (to cover the cost of the venue).
