Wales Archery have agreed to run two workshops one on compound and one on recurve. The compound session is on the 27th April and the recurve session on the 22nd June, both of them will start at 7pm at Birdlip Village Hall. The cost will be £2 per person per session. Please can you let me know by the 22nd April if you would like to attend the compound workshop and by the 14th June if you would like to attend the recurve session.
Level 1
We are planning a Level 1 course for late 2011 at Balcarras Sports Centre, Cheltenham, the course administrator is Roger Crang (RSCrang@aol.com). The course will hopefully be made up of a number of teachers currently involved in after school clubs plus members from county clubs without any coaches.
Cleve Archers have also expressed an interest in running a Level 1 Course later in 2011.
Junior 8 day programme
We have applied for a grant to provide High Performance Coaching for 12 members of the GAS Junior Squad over 8 days in the next 12months, run by Kath Fitzpatrick and supported by Steph and Dan (part of the County Coach Course). Juniors will be selected by a panel of coaches.
County Coach Course
Steph and Dan are currently doing the County Coach Course, a number of other Level 2 Coaches have expressed interest in attending the West Midlands County Coach course starting later this year. |
